Elaboration

1. It is said that in almost every locality of the town you can find some work done by hand in December.

2. Storage: the necessary products that will be transformed for the production of the spheres are stored. Later they are taken to the workshop area where the product is made.

3. Globe: in this process, it is given to the neutral glass the shape of the spheres. This process is realized with a blowtorch and a glass dipstick. The dipstick turns around the flame to separate a piece of glass (which is called “bulbo”).

4. Afterwards, the “bulbo” is exposed to fire to give shape. The time that spends the “globador” (the person who is in charged to make the blown to the spheres), is approximately of 30 seconds per sphere. Then, the process of cooling is realized.

5. Metallized: process in which is given more resistance and bright to the sphere.
   Paint: the sphere is submerged in a prepared paint container.

6. Decoration: phase most important because the craftsman will give the sphere a unique design based on the paints, oil and diamond implemented. A craftsman can paint per day between 100 and 5 thousand spheres (this depends on the size and the complexity of the design).

7. The materials depend on the craftsman. The most common are paint, lacquer, ring, solvent, thinner, diamond, hairpin, cap, tamal leaves, among others.

Finally, the hook is placed and the spheres are packed, this way the people of Chignahuapan give life in every sphere to snowmen, angels, comets, poinsettias, fruits and an endless amount of designs with Christmas theme.
